ACFT Scoring Standards

Understanding your ACFT score helps you gauge your fitness level and readiness. The Army categorizes scores into four performance levels:

Black (540-600 points)

Exceptional physical fitness. Qualifies for special operations and elite units.

Gray (480-539 points)

Advanced physical fitness. Meets requirements for most combat arms roles.

Gold (360-479 points)

Standard Army requirement. Minimum passing score for all soldiers.

Below 360 points

Fails to meet Army standards. Requires remedial training and retesting.

Note: Minimum passing scores vary slightly by military occupational specialty (MOS). Combat arms roles typically require higher minimums.

MOS-specific ACFT Requirements

The Army categorizes MOS requirements into three tiers:

Combat Arms (Tier 1)

  • Minimum: 420 points (70/event)
  • Deadlift: 140+ lbs (F), 180+ lbs (M)
  • 2-Mile Run: ≤21:00 (F), ≤18:00 (M)
  • Examples: Infantry (11B), Armor (19K), Field Artillery (13B)

Combat Support (Tier 2)

  • Minimum: 390 points (65/event)
  • Deadlift: 120+ lbs (F), 160+ lbs (M)
  • 2-Mile Run: ≤22:30 (F), ≤19:30 (M)
  • Examples: Engineers (12B), Military Police (31B), Signal Corps (25 series)

Combat Service Support (Tier 3)

  • Minimum: 360 points (60/event)
  • Deadlift: 100+ lbs (F), 140+ lbs (M)
  • 2-Mile Run: ≤24:00 (F), ≤21:00 (M)
  • Examples: Medical (68 series), Finance (36B), Human Resources (42A)

Note: These are general guidelines. Specific units may have higher standards. Always check with your chain of command for exact requirements.
